police Traffic police is a familiar figure in towns and cities. He is an
important person in the cities and towns. He is seen standing on the island of
the roads or the street from morning to dead night. He wears a uniform, a khaki
trouser, a shirt with white sleeves, and a white helmet. He uses an umbrella to
protect him from the heat of the burning sun and from heavy rains. He controls
the movement of the people and vehicles on the road. He works for the easy and
free movement of the people. He also tries to reduce accidents and jams. Those
who violate the traffic rules are taken to custody. Sometimes he examines the
necessary papers of the drivers. Sometimes he helps women, children, and old
people to cross the road. His duties and responsibilities are very great. He is
very sincere, dutiful, and punctual. His service to us is great. Road accident:
At
present road accidents are regular happenings in all over the world. It is
increasing day by day. Thousands of people die every year due to street
accident. Most of the road accidents take place in the urban areas and in the
highways. It is taken place by buses, trucks, rickshaws, baby-taxies etc. The
causes of street accidents are reckless driving, brake failures of vehicles,
over-taking of one vehicle by another, driving by unskilled drivers. Over
loading of vehicles is another reason for accidents. Another reason is
violation of traffic rules. E ven the police cannot control the traffic rule
breakers. They dash the small vehicles and cause accidents. Sometimes
pedestrians are crashed under the wheels of heavy vehicles. Sometimes the
speedy vehicles fall into the roadside ditch or into the river and thus kill
the passengers on the spot. Many lives are nipped in the bud. Many a family
loses the only earning member. Many people become crippled. Street accidents
make many children orphans. Many wives become windows. Sostreet accident is like
a curse in our life. This problem can be solved by all out efforts from both
the authority and the general mass.

Bangladesh:
Digital
Bangladesh is a much-talked slogan of the present government of Bangladesh.
Digital Bangladesh means a technology-based prosperous country where computers
will be widely used. All economic activities of the country will be monitored
or controlled by the computer via the internet. The benefits of digital
Bangladesh are many. If we can establish digital Bangladesh, corruption will be
drastically reduced by enhancing transparency and accountability.
It
will make people think globally and connect themselves with the whole world
economically, politically, socially, academically, and even culturally. It will
improve banking and financial activities. Agriculture, health, education,
commerce all the sectors will be highly benefited by making Bangladesh a
digital one. For translating the dream of Digital Bangladesh into reality, the
government has to take certain initiatives. First of all, an uninterrupted
power supply has to be ensured. We have to develop computer network
infrastructures throughout the country. We also have to train our people to
acquire the skill and ensure equitable access to digital governance services
for all strata of the society. Finally, our education should be computer-based
and in primary and secondary schools students should get easy access to the
computer.
